News Alert from Reuters via Quote.com Topic: Ampex Corporation Cl A Quote.com News Item #1559578 Headline: Dabney Resnick reiterates buy on Ampex (AMEX:AXC) ====================================================================== NEW YORK, Nov 21 (Reuter) - Dabney Resnick analyst Eric Appell said he reiterated his strong buy rating on the shares of Ampex Corp on Thursday, because he expected the company to receive its first order for its Keepered Media product before the end of the year. Keepered Media is a technology for disks which go into disk drives, Appell said. Ampex shares were trading up 2-3/8 at 9-1/2. The company, which earlier on Thursday declined to comment on trading activity in its shares and said it had released no news that accounted for the share price rise, was not immediately available to comment. Appell said the multiple on earnings from Keepered Media should be anywhere from 25 percent to 35 percent. "This would add anywhere from $2.55 to $70 to the stock price, depending on penetration rates and multiples," he said.
