In my humble opinion, the 1:06 PM EDT "No-Real-News" Press Release was a test to see just how much bounce to expect by the insiders who are still waiting to sell on a really "big" bounce after record earnings or some other PR of significance is issued.

By the analyzing the results of today they can gauge just how and when to package the next news.

Just a guess ....... I'm no expert and don't pretend to be.
