Pardon my ignorance, but I still don't know what "pre-open trade volumes" are. I thought when the bell rings, you trade. Anything else would be Instinet. Ditto on the Yahoo servers. This is the first time I've seen this particular problem, although they've been completely down or sluggish in the past.
