MSU Corp. to Market Multiple User Internet Computer

CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES, United Kingdom, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- MSU Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MUCP) today said it is introducing to the worldwide market a new, low cost Ethernet ready network computer capable of linking multiple users at one site simultaneously to the Internet.
The product will be marketed to large corporations, banks, hotels, schools and other facilities or organizations seeking a cost-efficient system for providing Internet access to multiple users through a local network.
MSU, together with its manufacturing partner, Mitac, is ready to ship the Ethernet computer immediately, said MSU, which added that the product has recently been successfully demonstrated to education, hotel and cable operators in Asia as well as hotel groups in Europe and the U.S.
The worldwide market potential for the product, according to the March 1998 edition of Screen Digest, is 33 million units by 2002.
MSU's Ethernet network computer is the latest of the company's proprietary open-platform Internet Access products capable of being used with any monitor or TV system anywhere in the world and being factory programmed to the specifications of any network or being left open for the customer's own choice of network.
As with other MSU Internet Access products, the Ethernet network computer offers improved and simplified operation for Internet browsing and e-mailing, sharp picture quality, and, within three months, will incorporate Frames and Secure Socket Layer (SSL), an encryption feature essential for secure e-commerce applications.
MSU Corporation designs and develops computer chips used in consumer electronic products that access the Internet, as well as new products for the CD video and audio markets. The company is based in the U.K. and is currently seeking further marketing and own-brand partners around the world.
