The Thanksgiving rally, yes, was beginning to taper out and consolidate above 80 when a manipulatory comment was issued by the Needham&buttheads, doubting they could make the next earnings.
If you're long on stock its no biggie, but for those of us holding December calls it was.

And yes it is always scary near a breakout price. The resistance bringing the price to 75 or thereabouts is the open interest on the options; least final settlement payout occurs at price 75, with much larger payouts on either side.
