You ask why Whoever speaks of only 8 folds in the path while the Boozers are into 12. Does it make any da!n difference if you are looking for a key ring with 8 or 12 keys on it. If you can't find it it just don't matter.
Ghunk is right when telling the story of Whoever looking for the keys. If you, or I, want enlightenment, well all we need to do is go find it. As long as we try we are sure to succeed.
From my point of view its a sum zero game. Again, thanks to the Gooey One and with no respect for pronouns, if you really want it, go where no body else is gonna bother to help you ...because that's where I 'll find it anyway.
One final observation on your post. With great respect to you, your outline indicates you spent a number of years being trained to be a quarrelsome, questioning, litigious pain in the r's. In my most humble opinion this will not work well for you in the field of enlightenment seeking. I know some would dispute this, but I really don't believe there are any posted rules. All the structure and guides, and other soma seeking trivia are just there as window dressing. You got to get down on your knees and hunt up them keys as best you can.
