InfoCast Joins ASP Consortium as Executive Member; E-Enabling ASP Brings Unique Infrastructure-on-Demand Expertise to Group

TORONTO, Jan. 19 /CNW/ -- INFOCAST CORPORATION
(OTC Bulletin Board: IFCC), the leading e-Enabling application service provider (ASP), today announced is has joined the ASP Consortium, an international advocacy group formed to promote the burgeoning ASP industry.
InfoCast joins the consortium as an executive member.
"Our executive membership in the ASP Consortium is a key component of our strategy as an e-Enabling ASP," says Jim Leech, InfoCast's president and CEO."The ASP model is poised to revolutionize the way software is delivered to the
enterprise. And with its infrastructure-on-demand for virtual call centers, e-Learning, and telework, InfoCast is on the verge of revolutionizing the way enterprises relate to customers, partners, and employees."
InfoCast offers fast-growing companies a complete virtual call center infrastructure -- including voice-over-data, switching, interactive voice recognition, and automatic call distribution -- on a pay-per-use basis, an attractive alternative to expensive, traditional call center hardware. The company also allows enterprises to train call center agents through its e-Learning solution, while its telework solution provides a full support
infrastructure for agents working from their homes.
"InfoCast's combination of call center, e-Learning, and telework technologies into an ASP-based solution makes it unique among ASP Consortium members," Leech notes. "We look forward to joining our executive co-members in establishing the common standards and business practices that will make the ASP model the success it is destined to be."
The Massachusetts-based ASP Industry Consortium sponsors research, fosters standards, and works to educate the marketplace about the benefits of the ASP
model. It has grown from 25 members in May, 1999, to more than 300 members today. More information can be found at the ASP Consortium Web site at aspindustry.com.
