Sage, i don't know what your trading stile and techniques are, thus [imho] it would be difficult for me to say something both specific and meaningfull. I would guess that since spx went over 700, and both dow and nasdq made new highs close to round numbers, the market is not going down (in a meaningfull way) for a couple of weeks, at least. all those "september is a 0.231% down month" and the like simplistic (and erroneous/misleading) statistics are 50-50 kind of things, and therefore worthless. historically, market had a correction (or worse) in october only after a three to five week slide that started in aug -sept. so the situation is not applicable this year.
