StogiesOnline.com to Add Domestics Line in 2000 Company Press Release
BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 1999--International Internet, Inc. (OTC:IINN) announced today that it will add a Domestics line to its current Premium line of cigars.
Currently the Company's cigar line consists almost exclusively of premium cigars or about 30 different brands. The new line of domestics or mass market cigars would consist of at least another 30 brands. Mass market cigars generally are domestic, machine-made cigars that use less expensive short filler tobacco and are made with homogenized tobacco binders and natural leaf wrappers or sheet wrappers compared with Premium cigars which are generally imported, 100% hand-rolled, made with long filler and all natural tobacco leaf. Over the last few months the Company has entered into distribution agreements with many of the major mass market distributors.
Brian John, StogiesOnline.com subsidiary president stated: "Although the Company's highest gross margins are generated from the sale of premium cigars the cigar industry still belongs to mass market cigars. What is most exciting is that the addition of domestics will open our retail and wholesale sales to a whole new clientele. We feel this new arena can greatly enhance our revenues and profit margins. Now that it appears our sales for December could virtually triple those of our early summer months we felt that the time was right to expand into domestics. As the Company expands its facilities and backend software applications our wholesale line being added to our site. Additional plans include a new online seconds store and a wholesale section that may only be accessed by wholesalers with a tobacco license and a stogies wholesale account number allowing them to order directly from our site rather than calling their orders in."
