To All: Check out thread #1451 in Last Mile Technologies of the Communication supergroup. The issue of settop boxes has been an irritation to me. I want the cable to go into my pc and then spurred to the tube,phone, etc. Intl, 3Coms, Bay, are working on what I refer to as a wic---web interface card. I want to program my VCR from my pc. Anybody out there writing software to do this? JAVA would be a lovely environment in which to do this.Listening MSFT? Look Bill, you don't need to tangle with justice, forget it! Build a new explorer for cable, give it to ATHM, and ATHM customers can tell ATHM whose bowser wowser they want. You put windows inside of explorer! And cease further development on windows. A future version of Windows is DOA anyway; it's dead technology and you guys want to hang onto to that corpse? The envy of the incompetitative. Indeed!
