Since rape-jokes seems to be the topic du jour, I guess I will weigh in. While I appreciate Marty's enthusiasm, I didn't appreciate the rape-reference, and I don't think that means that I am a humorless dolt, either. I'd be curious to know how many people would have thought it were funny if, instead of joking about raping their women, he would have written "lynched their blacks." I'd bet if folks are truly honest, the answer would be far fewer...
Rape jokes aren't funny, jokes about lynching blacks aren't funny, jokes about burning Jews aren't funny. If you want to explain to me, Harold, why some of the above are funny and why some aren't, then I'm all ears.
