Hi Greg.
I'm glad I was able to meet you and some of the other key people operating YRI at the AGM. I am more confident than ever on YRI future after being party to one of the best presented AGM I've been to in years, regarding exploration companys. The other IPMCF 3 years ago where President Lee Furlong promised shareholders that there is lots of gold in their Arizona properties and it was only a matter of time until the MKT and analysts would catch on to what the stock was really worth. needless to say it went crazy back in early Feb going 20X its year low. No doubt one day, one year YRI will have the same good fortune.
What is your take on the weak volume on YRI in the last week. No sooner did Vic mention the ease of liquidity on the stock and all of a sudden daily volume is at 50-60% of the avg 40-50K we've seen in the last few months.
thanks jk
P.S Any news to be coming out this week or next? C u on SI
Jason:
It was good to meet you as well and thanks for the support. I think the meeting went well, although I was a little dissapointed at the turnout. Still, we received good feedback from several sources and the greatest "concerns" expressed were more like cautions about Indonesia, these remarks being both understandable and well known.
I don't know what's producing such low volume except a) I believe people are (cautiously?) expecting some news from us; b) volume has generally been low for junior exploration companies in the last couple of weeks; and, c)while we are heading into the fall, we are not quite there yet so we've not yet seen the traditional September "rush."
I also beleive that there were some expectations about the AGM but I can't offer an intelligent opinion as to whether people's expectations were met. (I'm thinking about posting all or part of Vic and Dick's speech here. What do you think?) As you know, we were able to say some very good things about the Northern Porphyry Belt in Chile, Indonesian sample results, and the prospectivity for expanding our targets in PNG, to name three examples. What we did not have were a) significant new drill results (particularly because we are at a bit of a hiatus in several areas); and, b) a number of "ounces-in-the-ground" resource estimate. I assure you, we are working on getting both of these out on a number of projects.
The next news should be coming out next week.
