No, not really. A likely scenario is that Zimmermann caught up with Trayvon, got in his face and shoved him. Trayvon then hit him.

"Why is it very likely zimmerman started the assault - trayvon ran, zimmerman lost him and had even called the police - knowing they were on the way - why in the world would he assault someone when they would probably arrest him instead of trayvon?"

That is Zimmermann's story. There is no evidence as of yet that it is true. Based on the phone call to Trayvon's girlfriend, that isn't the way it happened. Granted, she could be lying. Or Zimmermann. Or both. But you cannot just ignore her because it isn't convenient to your narrative.
