The thinking of CREEP, and many people (friends, neighbors) has also confounded me. It is kind of like looking at a Ponderosa pine tree, and saying, "This is a tree."

But they are up close, and saying, "No, it must be a log cabin. Isn't this thing here a big round piece of wood..?. I saw some of that in a log cabin home brochure. And I'm not seeing any leaves on the ground. If it was a tree, wouldn't the ground be covered in leaves? Where did these spikey things (pine needles) come from."

I mean, where do you start?
