Climatology was young in the 60's and 70's. Just as knowledge about the dangers of cigarettes was awaiting massive and firm research.

What we have now is a consensus akin to the consensus that arsenic is an unhealthy addition to soup. The fossil fuel industry has no conscience. They will pay lawyers and liars till the cows come home. And states and provinces (such as Alberta, Canada), which depend on fossil fuels for their economy, will ignore all the evidence in order to promote a self-serving agenda. The rest of us understand. We understand.
