Not one person here has told me to buy gold because there is increasing demand for nanotechnologies that would use gold, or there is increasing demand for gold because indian princesses are gonna start marrying a lot and use it for decorative jewelry or that global smoking populations are on the rise and everyone wants a fashionable 24k gold zippo lighter - etc etc - time and again from chen to elroy it has been story after story about using it to FLEE an opressive gubbment that is descending in chaos - that may have merit for some white farmer in zimbabwe - but to me in clearwater that seems beyond insane as a reason to buy gold. If things get so bad here that I have to flee the florida national guard - its over everywhere and gold aint gonna stop the mad max mohawk guy.

waiting for Mad Max. I could as easily paint you sitting with tin-foil hat waiting for Richard Dean Anderson to take you by the hand and lead you through the Stargate. Both are strawmen and add little to the discussion.

HAHA - that is actually one of my favorite sci fi shows - they fired macgyver though - he won't be going through anymore stargates - guess he got too old.
