Of course. The way Akins spoke in public is the way most Rs speak in private re rape and abortion. Akins isn't used to running for a senate seat. I am sure most of his congressional constituents thought just like he does............so it didn't cross his mind it would cause any controversy.

Bottomline: In Akins world, women are still at fault when a rape happens and too bad if they get pregnant.
