I totally agree with you. And after China I think India is the next most important region- in terms of what the future will hold. China has undergone amazing changed in our lifetimes (and before). I certainly wouldn't want to have lived through them, but the literature which the Chinese struggle with power, Communism and reform has engendered is amazing.
