my take on this headline: BW-Optical Cable announces new South American sales manager; additional short interest ROANOKE, VA. (Aug. 29) BUSINESS WIRE -Aug. 29, 1996--Optical Cable Corp. (NASDAQ: OCCF) announced today that short interest in "OCCF" stock has increased to 725,889 shares total. ******* The company is obviously trying to prop up the stock price. Apparently there are several large shareholders (I believe the CEO owns 75%+ of the company shares) who would stand to profit greatly by a short squeeze! Be careful with this stock. If you want to play this one, wait for some action to start, buy in, then sell into the climax buy. Don't get greedy!!! kp
