Eric, what matters is totals, such as including the power station that burns coal or tar or methane to supply the electricity. Trying to change my subject? You are not a good debater! I'm talking fuel cost that goes into the car. My electron cost vs your petrol, pure and simple.. Electrons from my utility here. Coal generation can't beat the cost of hydropower from my utility.
