The charts above are the funds available to us in our peabody 401k accounts.

They all continue to be in down trends in every case. Show why are in invested in stocks at this time?

I am not sure that the down trend is over but there are good reasons to believe this is a good spot to enter..

If you look on the charts above and look on page three of those charts you will see two charts that are white. They are of the small cap, mid cap, and large cap sectors over long periods of time.

The last major bottom was in 2003, and in every case the 3 sectors are testing these major bottoms. This is likely a very strong support area and a rally off of this support in time will likely take place.

This year has been a major down year for stock, extremely bad. It has wiped out all the gains of the last 5 years in one year. The decline is worst that it shows on the major stock indexs. Most fund that handle your money will have you in mutual funds, that is what these funds are that we deal with and as you can see most all the gains have been givin back.

It is likely that the first of the year will start the rally that I am looking for, to much pressure was on the market in the way off tax selling at the end of the year for a meaningful rally to occur.

Those that sold there funds for tax purposes will likely want to purchase them back at the start of the new tax year.

I still feel that we are in good position to make some money by being in the market at this time. Stay invested ,sell when the market is up buy when it is down.
