It's not that I think $230,000 per annum is an excessive amount to pay a competent and reputable engineer (which Jacobs is), but I think it is excessive if that same engineer takes the job and then accomplishes nothing during his tenure. It's like Mark McGwire - baseball fans are happy for him to receive a few million a year as long as he is hitting 50 or 60 home runs a year, but once he drops down to a handful of home runs, or fewer, per year, these same fans will be "booing" him of the field and calling him a "bum". It is all relative.

I still think that Tracer needs to do something significant, whether that be big new projects or some "new blood", I do not know, but it does need to be significant. Based upon some of the chat on this thread, the shareholders are already "booing" Mr. Viggers out of the park, and I think Mr. Jacobs could be next if he doesn't do something significant soon.

(What is this about some connection between the former management and Bre-X? Please do tell - I am all ears.)
