Not a joke:

Watching the news today
(Think it was ABC News)

They said that the strange weather across the USA

was due to the heat and particulates from the California fires.

Sounds reasonable.

However, from that I must conclude

that the major driver in climate change

are the irresponsible politicians from California

who allowed this to happen

by encouraging poor forest management such as

not clearing brush,

not having controlled burn over time,

allowing illegals in who are likely ones who start fires,

zoning that allows people to build in fragile/risky areas

all within their power and

the list of their neglect goes on.

Also accepting the assumption that CO2 is a driver in climate change,
that all these politicians are selling,
then all the above is dumping literally tons of carbon into the atmosphere.

My joke:
No carbon credits for them!
