Yes, the rain this from this system -- 25mm in Vancouver, 60mm in surrounding areas -- has done a great job of replenishing our surface water storage, but alas, the temperatures were too warm for it to help much with the snowpack, which remains well below normal levels in most areas of southern BC. Nor did much precip made it to NE BC, which remains in deep drought.

It's all on the balance now, depending on whether we get more extreme heat and extended dry weather this summer. I sure hope not!
