I do not dismiss the philosophical question. I only posted an article that stated the scientific case that was brushed off because it came from a Disney sponsored event.

But let's be clear, when Aristotle posed the question of the chicken and the egg, he used is as "proof" that chickens had always existed and therefore the universe as well. In other words he was making a scientific argument. You might argue that science and philosophy were more closely linked in Aristotle's day. You might even say there was no distinction then between science and philosophy. I don't think that is true today.

I would never presume to claim to be smarter than Aristotle, but today we are all privy to scientific knowledge that says this assertion is probably wrong.

The chicken and egg still works as a philosophical metaphor and easily understood. But not so much as a scientific question anymore.
