Doren, you got me trying to upgrade my old Safari version on the G4. Only trouble is, I'm too easily distracted when confronted with a downloads page with multiple goodies for the taking.

I too went to Apple's web site for downloads. All I saw for Safari was Safari 3.0 beta. But I did see an interesting screensaver download that would be perfect for any market maven running a Mac. We may not be able to run some trading software meant for Windows only, but we can run Moolah!

What's Moolah? Why it is a screensaver where, (in the words of the author) "Basically, money floats down the screen and you sit there drooling like a mental patient." But it's in 3D and it's beautifully done.

It's shareware. You can register it for U.S. $7.50 or you can just let it run and sit there drooling. It will periodically splash its ad if it is not registered. To uninstall, should you decide that looking at falling money is putting a hex on your spending habits, just delete the "Moolah3D.saver" file from either the "/Libray/Screen Savers" or "/~/Library/Screen Savers" folder.

Now, where can I find that Safari 2.xxx update? Ahgggh! I'll just use the Software Update feature under the Apple menu.

There it is... Compatibility Update for Quicktime 7.2 ... OH! And an update to iTunes 7.4.1 as well.

Thanks Doren!
