That is counterfactual. He was at the hospital in the morning. They retrieved his body there before they flew everyone out.

Well, let's see. They find him dead, inside of a burning building filled with dense smoke. The people searching the building are showing signs of smoke inhalation. It is a pretty logical conclusion that he died of smoke inhalation. Funny that when those CIA people were searching the building they didn't see any of your buggering terrorists in that building...
