Kash Re <<These are the only guys announcing today!!!

Wow what a terrible launch.>>

What do you mean by launch? Launch was not today! Compaq, IBM already announced, IBM is selling them right now at their site. Total of 6 systems. Cybermax (as I already said)has a huge advertisement on September issue of Computer Shopper. Biggest advertisement by far in this issue. Starts at page 180. There has been at least a half dozzen announcement with regard to tier 3 OEM's as well.

What kind of launch are expecting? AMD has only 300,000 or so Athlon to sell the entire quarter. They will sell every one of them. The challenge is to sell what they make starting Q1 of 2000.

IMO, considering all the challenges they had to face, AMD launch of the K7 has been very good! A completely new product, new MB, chipset, bios ...and they are in two of the top five OEM's. They will sell every one that they make, MB problems or not! You have got to criticize when its due, complement when its due.

Regards,

Mani
