yes, i just read the same thing in IBD....they said they may be forced to account for derivatives differently...."Pricewaterhouse has asked Freddie Mac to change the way it accounts for derivatives, among other things. Freddie Mac says that will likely lead to a restatement showing earnings "materially" higher than reported.

Analysts expect the restatement to depress current earnings."
