But this small percentage of farmers are huge land owners and companies that no nothing of farming but know well how to work the system.

....Written every few years, farm bills bundle crop support, conservation, antihunger, export promotion, agricultural research and rural development programs....

This is where you get government cheese and dozens of other programs that do the small farmer or any farmer no favors.

I have to through this in because I've seen it a couple times with my beef, row crops and honey producing friends. Farmers, small farmers the true back bone to what was once called the bread basket of the world. Take it right in the shorts when government decides to promote favorable foreign relations and ease import rules to points of dumping.

Yes I agree it would be interesting at the least if the same access was to the DOD, HUD, and on and on.
