So MCI is reselling capacity on the Nynex network. It seems to me that MCI will not be able to offer significantly reduced prices if they are just reselling bandwidth. WinStar has a real technology advantage. Unless you understand the advantage that wireless fiber provides, maybe Winstar looks like just another newcomer to the markets that are getting opened up to everyone. I've had a couple of different providers offer to resell me Nynex bandwidth recently, but besides being a little cheaper, the only thing they can say is "We're not Nynex". This marketspace is going to become more crowded and confusing over time, but if Winstar carves out a niche selling bandwidth to all the players, it can still do well by all of this...
