I am not saying Amati has any deals with Alcatel, besides licencing talks. I want to make that perfectly clear.

IMO there could be the chance that if what I heard with my two ears,
that Amati & Alcatel shared the same building years ago, and Amati helped bring Alcatel "up to speed" (can't remember the exact quote) in ADSL, then there is a "chance", that Alcatel would not forget, like a good French Elephant.

I do not wish to name the source, it was my first and only conversation with the person. Why? so someone can verify a statement, which most anyone in Amati can answer. So please do not use my name, saying JW said anything.

If you cannot find out the answer to the questions, Did Amati Share the same building with Alcatel? Did Amati help them with ADSL, when you call, then I will give the representive's name.

If you know anything about Amati and the future potential of xDSL, Amati's Chip manufacture partnerships with the leaders in their respective industries, then the whole thing is a moot point. As the logical assumtion would be, they would do no less, when it comes to OEM Equipment Partnerships. and Alcatel is no baby elephant, athough it probablly has it's formitive years, still ahead.
