Hey dipstick, "Big Oil” does not dictate fuel prices. Contracts between oil companies and refineries — and between refineries and retail outlets

Boy you're kicking sand into the eyes of folks now. The independents are all but gone. What we have now is refiners and retailers mostly owned by Big Oil.

As for the spot markets, they do affect the crude oil that is traded on world markets, but what effect does the price of crude have on companies that have access to crude oil in fields they own and extract it with equipment they own, refine it with refineries they own, and then sell it in gas stations they own?

There's a reason why the Oil Execs didn't testify under oath.
