Glad to hear it..... if you think THAT was funny... well, this I just copied from an AP story. Verbatim:

NEW YORK (AP) -- Wall Street gave up a substantial early gain and staggered to a mixed finish Tuesday after a Federal Reserve official warned that interest rates might continue to climb.

Indeed. The Fed Funds Futures have priced in with 100% certainty 25 bp hikes at every single meeting between now and the end of the year. Further, this has been priced in to the futures all year.

But today, traders decide to sell because of something everybody has known for the last 6 months at least.

Indeed.

Why didn't they just say something like:

Wall Street gave up a substantial early gain and staggered to a mixed finish Tuesday after comments by President Bush that he would continue to use military force to go after terrorist insurgents in Iraq.

or maybe

Wall Street gave up a substantial early gain and staggered to a mixed finish Tuesday after traders noticed that the sun had risen.

I wonder how much AP spent on researching that story. Whatever they spent, I woulda wrote it for half price. And I woulda wrote it 6 months in advance, too.
