There was no market crash unless you were speculating on dot-com of telecom high-fliers. If you were, you knew to beware. There was no fundamental value in those stocks, just hype. The blue chips weren't affected much. There were two other big stock falls I remember, Black Monday duing the Reagan years and 9-11. In all case these were rare buying opportunities.

Again, CLinton had nothing to do with the sharp correction in dot-coms. What he did right was crfeate a level playing field for all Americans, a balanced budget plus surpluses and a way to pay for Medicare and Social Security. Bush has brought all that tumbling down. Look at the front page of USA Today today. Bush has us on a collision course with fiscal disaster.
