I am always comparing one company vs another and trying to get the pick of the litter or trying to understand why one appears to be a more of a value. For REITs, I look for the best residential, office, retail, industrial, MOB. Same for defense companies, ag equip companies, banks, truckers, utilities, consumer goods, auto supplier, etc. But in many cases, investing the the right sector is more important than the right company.
PS Especially for reits -- diff sectors have diff risk levels, and their valuations reflect that. |
