An open letter to Alan Greenspan: Sir, right now you are sitting/sleeping in your posh home in somewhere USA. All nice and cozy. While me, Mr. Middle Class American sits and frets about the interest rate on his adjustable mortgage. And what are you going to say next to make it go higher? Trying to find a few pennies to put towards college for the kids. Maybe a few more for the retirement plan since Social Secuity probably won't be around when I retire. All while my 3% raise is creating "wage pressures", and my employers inability to pass on price increases is leading to static profits and no bonuses. It's tough enough out here in the real world. Maybe you should spend some time with us "middle classers"! I just don't think you realize the effect your actions have on the lives of everyday Americans! Very respectfully yours: Jim
