Geron's jump on the Pharmacia Upjohn deal doesn't surprise me, especially since it followed Geron's gaining two important patents. I look at it this way -- the market wasn't over-reacting to the deal, but recognizing how significant the deal is for the credibility of telomere/telomerase technology.
IMO, even at close to 14, Geron's market cap doesn't reflect the value of its technology. See my prior posts for what the technolgy and stock could be worth.
