1. I am a lawyer specializing in medical malpractice. I used the net for medical type research pretty much every day, especially U.S. government site,

nlm.nih.gov

2. Internet legal research, some free, some paid, I use Westlaw, thinking about switching to Lexis/Nexis.

3. On-line reference material, like dictionaries, thesauri, any thing you want to know you can find on the net if you know how to look.

4. Of course, I natter on SI.

5. Look at my investments and/or research investments.

6. Talk to my family and friends via email.

7. Shop, sometimes.

8. Fun, like looking at paintings and reading books.

9. My kids like to play on-line games.
