A new variant of the Nigerian 419 scam -

Attention: sir/ma,

I found your name, profile and contact details from your national directory. After thorough evaluation, I have decided to contact you to request your participation

in a mutual transaction promising large fortune in the long run.

Do consider this as an invitation to participate in a legitimate transaction and also a means to build a perennial business relationship. Due to overwhelming events of cyber abuse it is difficult to trust people and organizations met via the Internet, it has been a matter of 50-50 chance. Yet in this age of information technology and cyber evolution and development we are left with no choice since the internet is the fastest and most versatile means of establishing good contacts.

I am Mr Tony Anderson, an accountant with Barclays bank here in London and the personal accounting officer to Mr. S. B Andrew, a Canadian geologist, who lived and worked with British Petroleum Company (BP) here England . My client (Mr. S. B Andrew), his wife and their three children were involved in a ghastly car accident along one of the free roads in England . All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost their lives. Since then I have made several enquiries to your country’s embassy to locate any of my clients extended relatives, but this has proved unsuccessful. After these several unsuccessful attempts to locate any member of his family hence I contacted you to assist me in repatriating the money left behind by my client before it gets confiscated. Particularly, in my office where the deceased had an account to the sum of £4.5 million pounds in my position as his accounting officer, my duty is to do everything possible to locate the next of kin.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over a year now I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you are from the same country as him, so that the proceeds of his account balance of £4.5 million pounds can be paid to you after which we can share it, I have all necessary information that you can use to back up the claim. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us seeing this deal through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you and me from any breach of law.

You can contact me as soon as possible on my phone or fax number +44-79-0883-4390 and +44-87-0133-9814 respectively, or if possible through my email address: t_anderson1000@yahoo.com

I wait to hear from you as soon as possible.

Best Regards.

Tony Anderson
