It is "up to 1000 times", the actual number depends on how do you use the battery, what type of charger you are using, how you charge it (quick or normal)... I think more honest ad would say 500 times instead of 1000 times. And also seems it pays off in a long run to buy a charger of latest model (which can discharge too).
