JDSU v. GLW. If you have looked into both, how do they compare? Between these two issues in an IRA, have about 60% in JDSU and thinking of going to 60% GLW. Reason, GLW has both a stronger current financial position as well as a stronger long term technical position from the combination of fibre, photonics and very strong research. Certainly the oldest and arguably the best glass research group in the USA if not the world. They have the advantage of developing advanced fibre and photonics simultaneously for a early lead. GLW's amplifier product announcements today, to be showcased at OFC, are an example of this synergy. I believe you have stated earlier that you planned to attend OFC. Would appreciate your valued opinion upon your return or at any time.
