micheal...CPQ never never never never says they can't crash, can't bunder, can't lose, they do not rest on their laurels... they constantly look for improvement..they are animals and restlentless toward acheiveing their goals..their culture is a winner too. The laptop was a renegrade project . the low cost pc was a very secret project that was like a cia mission that the CIA would run. an elite group just got together and started a fake company and wnet to vendors and secured prices like a start up that were drastically lower than the prices that cpq was getting on their 3billion company. So a company that presented a 100mm first yr. rev got drastically lower prices than cpq was getting ON THE SAME PARTS... Let me tell you these guys were something on that compaq covet action. CPQ would laugh at a nocrash scenario.. but really since I posted the 10 pull backs since 1990 we need to let history fall.. it's not something you can debate.
