Of course.

But the context of that is explained further by the specific scriptural passages where God indicated that a fetus is not a full-fledged human being yet (“not having existence”) until the "breath of life" enters, as with Adam.

Further support for that is found in the specific Bible verse (the ONLY ones in the Bible that mention miscarriage/abortion) which clearly says that deliberately causing a miscarriage/abortion may be penalized but it is not murder, and that a fetus is considered more part of a woman then not.

PS --- "Thou shalt not kill" is a poor English translation of the original Aramaic words. A proper translation from the source text is rendered as "Thou shalt not murder".

Thus, killing in a just war, or in defense of life, is 'killing', but need not be 'murder'.
