WTI light sweet crude oil fell in New York as Hurricane Wilma headed toward the Florida coast, missing most of the Gulf of Mexico's production oil rigs. Yet, Friday's move at the end of the seesion suggested some uncertainty and non-willingness to be short over the weekend.

Friday's short squeeze towards the end of the main session on Friday was thin and horrible. This move can be interpreted as somewhat typical short covering before the weekend. This season's hurricane's bring uncertainty into the markets, especially moving into weekends, where the market is closed.

We closed our WTI Crude exposure on Friday, taking profit on our shorts from 61.55 at 59.60. Although, our original target of 59.25 was reached later in the session.

Trade Strategy 20/10/2005: Short December Crude 61.55. Stop above 62.85. Target 59.25
