Marco Polo

I read your posts on the other RHAT board, Subject 28775

OK, I'll not try to judge RHAT Linux against Win98. It is a server, and that is its intended market.

Here is a thought. What will keep Compaq, Dell, HP, or the builder down the street from loading their machines with the free Redhat distribution? Why does a computer manufacturer want to be buying Linux from Redhat at all? Anyone with the skill to load the darn thing doesn't need the support of Redhat. They will have the support of the thousands of Linux contributors around the world and over the Internet. They are probably contributors themselves.

I don't know. This IPO bothers me.
