A sleeping "giant" awakes???

MILLBURY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12, 1997--OMNI
MULTIMEDIA GROUP, INC. (AMEX: OMG) 4CDs CORPORATION, a subsidiary of
OMNI MULTIMEDIA GROUP, and Computer & Net Player today announced a
joint marketing venture that will bring readers of the magazine
unique opportunities to sample and purchase complete computer games
directly from the magazine's accompanying CD-ROM.
Effective with the June 1997 issue of Computer & Net Player (on
sale:May 27), the magazine's CD-ROM will offer-in addition to new
game demos-a selection of popular encrypted computer games. After
sampling an encrypted game, readers wishing to purchase the entire
game call a toll-free 800 line, purchase the game, receive an access
code, and "unlock" the computer game for permanent use. This
venture will result in over 100,000 CDs per month in circulation with
Computer & Net Player.
4CDs CORPORATION will distribute 70,000 copies of its premiere
CD-ROM with encrypted software. Also included on the disk is a
promotion sponsored by Prodigy for Internet connection. The CD is
scheduled to ship in the April, 1997 edition of Computer & Net Player
Magazine. 4CDs CORPORATION has been an innovative leader in
developing and marketing the computer game encryption process, and
will provide technical services and encryption development for
participating computer game publishers, as well as provide consumer
sales and support operations.
Encrypted games offer an attractive new "Try Before You Buy"
method for computer gamers. For computer game publishers, this
program offers a powerful and highly cost-effective new method to
expand a game's availability and build sales volume in a competitive
market where retail space availability is limited.
"4CDs CORPORATION is optimistic that this marketing concept will
have a significant impact on OMNI MULTIMEDIA GROUP's growth. In
addition, we are especially excited about working with such an
innovative magazine and internet publishers as Computer & Net Player
and Online Gaming Review," said OMNI MULTIMEDIA GROUP CEO, Paul
Johnson. "This new, leading-edge `Try Before You Buy' technology
creates a unique marketing and sales opportunity for publishers,
while giving customers a satisfying way to make well-informed product
purchases."
"We are exceptionally pleased to bring together the expertise and
experience of 4CDs CORPORATION and the marketing and audience reach
of Computer & Net Player and Online Gaming Review, to offer computer
game publishers this attractive new distribution channel for their
products," said the magazine's Publisher, Gary Dolzall. "Together,
our magazine, website, and 4CDs CORPORATION now offer game publishers
an integrated advertising, marketing, and distribution system to
reach tens-of-thousands of new, highly active gamers each month. We
are excited to offer our readers a fresh and easy new means of
sampling and purchasing popular computer games."
In addition to providing encryption services, 4CDs CORPORATION,
located in Millbury, Massachusetts, is a leading Internet direct
marketer of computer games and accessory products. Its parent
Company, OMNI MULTIMEDIA GROUP, INC., is a leading national provider
of CD-ROM disc replication services. Through its Electronic Channel
Services (ECS) group, the Company offers software publishers unique
methods of electronic software distribution and sales.
Computer & Net Player and Online Gaming Review are publications
of AirAge, Inc., of Ridgefield, Connecticut, a respected and
innovative special-interest publisher.
