Just saw a show I peek at from time to time.. house reno projects.. This chap bought and old barge to transform (did a great job although making many mistakes this being his first go) one takeaway was exactly that... A boat, like a car, is generally perceived as a depreciating asset -– but marina berths and swing moorings are not. Fellow house sitting for us does the same.. has a houseboat in Toronto suburb on Lake Ontario...
