In America alone, there are currently over 5,000,000 heavy-duty highway trucks in use. This means that every day, over 5,000,000 big engines emit harmful gasses that pollute our air, contribute to smog and global warming, and pose serious health risks to humans. State and federal governments have recently begun taking action by passing tough new legislation that strictly limits harmful engine exhaust gas emissions and requires refiners to produce virtually sulfer-free diesel fuel. The problem: current truck engine technologies cannot meet these new requirements, though they will apply to all new and replacement engines built in as early as 2006. New engine technology is a necessity.
Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. is a technology company dedicated to the development of its New Environmental Age Truck Engine for mass market in the U.S. and abroad. Our revolutionary new engine design can utilize any fuel (gasoline, diesel, propane, natural gas, hydrogen, methanol, or ethanol) or fuel mixture, yet needs no coolant, lube oil, filters, or pumps. Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. is a Delaware "C" corporation activated on November 27, 2000. TTEG's purpose was to acquire certain technology and licence rights from Alpha Engines Corporation. Alpha Engines developed and patented an innovative engine technology which is the realistic alternative to the current combustion technology which is presently used in diesel, gasoline, and gas turbine engines.
TTEG's licence partnership with Alpha Engines allows TTEG the freedom to utilize this cutting edge technology in order to exclusively produce, market and sell environmentally sound heavy-duty highway truck engines in the U.S. and around the world.
Alpha Engines Corporation is a privately owned research and development company, incorporated in 1984. As a privately funded company, they continue the research and engineering efforts of scientist Robert L. Scragg, the inventor and developer of TTEG's new Turbine Engine Technology.
With its first prototype completed in 1987, Alpha has, to date, designed and constructed four prototype new technology engines. The practicality of Alpha's new Energy-Efficient, Flex-Fuel engine design was proven over the last decade through subsequent research and further prototype development.
