Sounds good...your in a good part of the country.....and yep, ya gotta have a dependable partner as climbing is a two person sport....it may be you against the rock, but you must have a partner to make it happen.....yea, my knee's were both crushed in a car wreck when I was 15....had to learn how to walk again....and they give me a hard time as well, especially when climbing with a heavy pack......but hell, my wife is just incredible....she is like the energizer bunny......she sure makes me feel old <ggg>.....have a great day....
